International Dairy Queen – Toronto

The office of International Dairy Queen’s (IDQ) Canadian headquarters in Toronto, ON, relocated in 2016. Archimea assisted with determining new guidelines and standards for IDQ’s workspace, decreasing the office space footprint, increasing the overall energy level, and adding amenities and appropriate meeting areas.

Comley van Brussel (architect of record), Archimea (space planner and interior designer), Steelcase and General Office Products (furniture supplier and change management team), and Art Partners (branding) teamed up for a strategic holistic approach to provide a project that exceeded expectations.

Targeted workshops helped determine the type of office and workstation layouts that best accommodate staff and management’s goals. Renderings were used to communicate the design concept throughout the project. The goal was to create an adaptive workplace that supports IDQ in all facets of its operations.
